Business Resources

ACEC is the only association in Canada dedicated exclusively to the business and commercial interests of consulting engineering companies. In order to help our members be more successful, we offer access to a variety of resources-either directly from ACEC, or through our industry partners such as CCDC and FIDIC. These resources, including agreements, forms, contracts, best practices, industry surveys, comments on trends, and guides, etc., are available to members through our E-Shoppe. (For further information, such as industry and association news, visit our Publications section.)

Contracts and Agreements

Part of the resources we offer is a full suite of contracts and agreements, created especially for consulting engineering services in Canada by industry leaders in fields such as engineering, business, law, and insurance. These documents are periodically updated to reflect changes in current practices. Our association also helps to develop FIDIC contracts for international work, and CCDC contracts for construction. To access any of these documents, visit our E-Shoppe.

Reports and Guidelines

ACEC develops, or helps to develop, a number of reports and guidelines of interest to the consulting engineering sector. These documents cover a variety of topics and issues, such as best practices and industry trends. Some of these documents are published by ACEC; others by our partner organizations, such as FIDIC or the American Council of Engineering Companies. All can be purchased through our E-Shoppe.

Periodically, ACEC commissions exclusive industry surveys that allow ACEC members to view benchmarks of various aspects of the Canadian engineering sector, and help them to measure their own practices and performance against the larger picture. We also survey our clients regularly to assess their expectations of our member firms, and their satisfaction with the services they offer. These tools are available through our E-Shoppe.
